Cumberland Valley Quilter Association

CVQA is a 501(C)(3) charitable organization, dedicated to the promotion of quilting through education and charitable giving.  They sponsor lectures and classes, donate quilts to local foster care and aging-care facilities, and support Quilts of Valor (giving quilts to veterans affected by war), the Ronald McDonald House, Thistle Farms, and others.  They also sponsor a bi-annual quilt show in Franklin.

Regular guild meetings are on the first Tuesday of the month in FPC’s Wilson Hall, and visitors are welcome. For more information, visit www.cvqa.com or contact President Eileen Sherrill (eileensherrill@gmail.com).

Franklin Suzuki Academy

Franklin Suzuki Academy is a not-for-profit music school offering high-quality Suzuki music instruction in Williamson County, Tennessee. We offer instruction in violin, viola, and cello for Preschool through High School students, as well as early childhood music education for children ages 0-3. All our lessons and classes are taught using the Suzuki Philosophy, which is based on the idea that all children have talent, and it is their environment, rather than genetics, that will determine musical ability.

We are always open to new students, especially for cello students and for our Baby & Toddler Music Class. Contact Andra Prewett (andraprewettmusic@gmail.com) for more information or to set up an informational interview.

Music City Modern Quilters Guild

The MCMQG was founded in 2010 to serve the greater Nashville area. We are a group of like-minded sewists who enjoy sharing all parts of our craft! While we focus on modern quilting, we enjoy and appreciate all quilters and types of quilting and work to preserve and share this art. The guild is open to persons age 16 or older who are interested in modern quilting.

We meet on the third Saturday of each month with the exception of December at the First Presbyterian Church in Franklin, Tennessee from 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

We always start with a little business and then a lot of “show & tell”. So bring your projects, finished or in-progess for some love, ooh-ing and aah-ing or help if you’re stuck! For more information, contact musiccitymodernquilters@gmail.com.
