Days get busier. Nights get shorter. Crowds get louder. Space gets invaded. Peace seems elusive. You can hold on...until you can’t hold on. How do you listen through the chaos?
First, you intentionally take time away. You gather in a familiar place like NaCoMe to retreat from the chaos.
Rev. Dr. Lil Smith, who is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), will lead our weekend. Lil earned a Doctor of Ministry (2018) and a Master of Divinity (2011) with a Certificate in Pastoral Care at Perkins School of Theology, a Degree in the Art of Spiritual Direction (2011) at San Francisco Theological Seminary, and is a trained spiritual direction supervisor with Together in the Mystery (2016). The emphasis of her doctoral study was Reclaiming the Role of Pastor as Spiritual Guide in the Reformed Tradition.
Join us as women of all ages gather November 15-17 at NaCoMe Camp and Conference Center (www.nacome.org). You are welcome to come for the whole weekend or for the day. Lil will lead us in some breathing exercises and prayer practices to listen through the chaos. Bring your favorite translation of The Bible and a journal and be ready to experience God’s peace and presence.
Christ invites you to come away with him. Creator God is preparing the space for you. The Breath of God will lead you toward healing, light, and new life. Remember, in chaos, there is new creation.
