Choral Vocal Scholarship Program

Beginning in the fall of 2016 and extending into 2017, we are pleased to be able to provide eight vocal scholarships to local area college music students. These scholarships not only encourage the students in their study and allow them to share their musical gifts with us; they allow us to share our lives with them along this portion of the journey.

Small Vocal Ensemble

A small ensemble of approximately twelve singers provides music for worship on select Sundays of the year. If you are interested in being part of this ensemble, please contact the Director of Music.

Spiritus Children’s Choir

A children’s ensemble is organized to include children from grades one through five. One of the goals of the children’s choir is to create an experience of beauty, and through it, open the door to life-long spiritual journey. We invite you to join us in creating this space, one where beauty dwells, so that both children and adults may be lead to the spiritual through the beautiful

Community Offerings

Through the centuries the church was the center of both culture and commerce. It was here that artisans and musicians presented their best works, and it was also here that dramatists produced their morality plays to teach and to inspire. Throughout the ages, a city’s most enduring arts have often found expression in the church. This tradition provides the inspiration for the fostering of music and the arts within the community of First Presbyterian Church and beyond. Special music programs are presented throughout the year and we invite you to join us to celebrate the faith through them and through weekly Music & Worship Ministries.
