  • Christopher Joiner began serving at First Presbyterian in June of 2004. He is married to Kim, and has a son (Samuel Caleb) and daughter (Chandler Belle). He is a graduate of Bethel University (Bachelor of Arts) and Vanderbilt University Divinity School (Master of Divinity), and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

  • Mary Sellers Shaw

    Director of Mission and outreach

    Mary Sellers Shaw began as Director of Mission and Outreach in August 2018.  Mary Sellers is originally from Birmingham, Alabama, and she studied Communication Studies and Civic Engagement at the University of Alabama.  After graduating, Mary Sellers worked at Nashville's Room In The Inn through the PC(USA) Young Adult Volunteer program, where she helped coordinate their workforce development efforts.  Mary Sellers completed her Masters of Divinity in 2018 from Vanderbilt Divinity School.

  • Anne Keener

    Pastoral AssISTANT

    Anne Keener has been on our staff since November 2013 and a member of First Presbyterian since 1997.  She is working toward her Certificate in Ministry in hopes of being named a Commissioned Pastor by the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee.  She is married to Jim and has two children, Julie and Brian. Anne graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She has been involved in a variety of ministries at First Presbyterian over the years including serving as a Stephen Leader for 10 years.

  • MICHAEL SNODDY

    DIRECTOR OF MUSIC

    Michael P. Snoddy has been on our staff since December 16, 2013 and is currently the Director of Music and Organist for First Presbyterian Church of Franklin, Tennessee and is a recipient of the Master of Music Degree in organ performance from the University of North Texas. He has performed numerous recitals and recorded a CD entitled Immortal, Invisible, a portion of which was featured on a nation-wide broadcast of American Public Media’s Pipedreams. Mr. Snoddy is also a winner in the twenty-sixth annual William C. (Bill) Hall pipe organ competition, a state-wide event sponsored by First Presbyterian Church, San Antonio, Texas.

  • KIM JOINER

    DIRECTOR OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

    Kim Joiner began as Director of Children's Ministries in 2005 and moved to Director of Christian Educatoin in 2015. Kim was raised in Arkansas and came to Tennessee to attend Bethel University in McKenzie, where she studied Christian Education. She graduated from Bethel with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She is married to Chris and has two children, Samuel Caleb and Chandler Belle.

    Director of Youth ministries

    Linzi Anderson began as Director of Youth Ministries in June 2018.  She leads our youth program in study and service. 

  • CHERI LINDSLEY

    PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR

    Cheri Lindsley has been on our staff since July 1, 2013 and has over 30 years experience in Early Childhood Education. Among other responsibilities, she has extensive experience as a classroom teacher and program director. Cheri came from Tennessee State University where she served as a Coordinator for the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance (TECTA) and was an Anchor for the Tennessee Star Quality Program. Cheri is an adjunct instructor at Nashville State Community College. She is a frequent presenter at state, regional and national early childhood conferences. She also serves as President of the Tennessee Association for the Education of Young Children and is the facilitator for the Tennessee Reggio Study Group. Cheri is an avid life-long learner passionate about providing best experiences for young children through a constructivist model to early childhood education.

    Glenda Andrews began serving at First Presbyterian Church June 21, 1993. She is married and has a daughter (Crystal) and son (David, Jr.) and six grandchildren. She attended Union Theological Seminary for Church Business Administration, 2000-2001.

    Rebecca R. Garner (Becky)  joined the staff at First Presbyterian Church in February of 2007.  She is a Nashville native and is married to Michael Garner; they have two sons and a daughter.

  • jack busby

    CLERK OF SESSION

    Jack Busby has been a member of First Presbyterian Church since 1973. Having been elected an elder several times, he has served on various committees including performing the duties as Clerk of Session.  He is a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree.  After a successful career in sales and marketing, he retired with thirty seven years from 3M Company.  Jack is married to Carol and they have three daughters and nine grandchildren.

    Sarah Cochran has been on our staff since January 14, 2016 and enjoys machine embroidery, reading, and watching whatever sports her boys are pursuing at the time. Sarah, her husband Chris, and two boys Carson and Caleb, reside in Franklin.

    J. R. has been on our staff since December 13, 1999 and has lived in Eagleville all of his life. He loves to work. He is the father of two children, Makeeda and Deanta and the grandfather of three, set of twins and a little girl.

    Kelly Oldham has been on our staff since 2008 and has been a member of the church since 1992.  She graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Elementary Education.  She is married to Robert.  They have four children and one grandchild.  She has served on the session and various committees at FPC.  Kelly began volunteering in the nursery when her children were young.

    Nancy Moody has been on our staff since September 8, 1993 and has been a member for 30 years.  Her husband is Rick, a current elder, and they have 3 grown children who have loved this church as well. 

  • Sara Hinds

    Treasurer

    Sara Hinds joined the church in 1968 when her family moved to Tennessee for her dad's job.  Graduated FHS in June 1974.  Graduated MTSU in May 1978 with degree in accounting.  Worked for public accounting firm Touche Ross from summer 1978 until early 1986.  Worked in corporate accounting until retiring in June 1994.  Became treasurer around end of 1998 or early 1999.  A member of Finance Committee, Administration Committee and Communion Cleanup.  She delivers for Meals on Wheels with FPC.  Married to Ron Hinds and has 6 dogs.  Likes to snow ski and take cruises.
