boys and girls club

March 13, 2021

March 2ndsat

We are going to make 300 snack bags for our community partners to distribute to neighbors in need. These bags will be shared with Room In The Inn, the Boys and Girls Club of Franklin, Open Table Nashville, and the Williamson County Homeless Alliance. We have materials for approximately 300 snack bags to be assembled outside and in person. Safety is our main goal; we will only have 20 volunteers (divided in groups of 10) onsite for a 30-minute shifts. Please sign up and lend a hand in preparing the bags. When you sign up, indicate the number attending. Please park on the side you are volunteering. Everyone is asked to keep socially distanced and masks are required. We will have a hand sanitizing station. Gloves are not required, but welcome.

We also are collecting games and cleaning supplies for the Boys and Girls Club; donations can be dropped off in the tub outside the Sanctuary doors March 7-14. The Boys and Girls Club in Franklin serves students age 5-17 in our community.  During Spring Break they will provide full-time care to about 50 students, and they could use some additional supplies.  Boardgame suggestions include Sorry, Clue, Checkers, Chess, Uno or even cards, but please feel free to donate a favorite game.  During Covid, they limit exposure by keeping children in one room for most of the day, so duplicate items for the four main rooms are great.  Thank you for your donations!
