Anne Keener's Sabbatical

Thank you for the gift of a sabbatical. I took full advantage of the time of rest and renewal which provided space to listen, discern, and grow. In October spent time at St. Meinrad Benedictine Monastery and the Abbey of Gethsemani which is a Trappist monastery where Thomas Merton lived. In November I traveled to Scotland and participated in a weeklong retreat on the Isle of Iona. Then after Thanksgiving, I embarked on a Holy Land Pilgrimage to Israel and Palestine followed by a mission trip to Egypt. I pray the photos and the writings will give you a glimpse of my meaningful time of sabbatical. As grateful as I am for it, I am glad to be back and responding to God's grace together.
