  • adult Summer SS

Some letters don’t just sit on a page; they breathe. They whisper across centuries and find their way into our Monday mornings, our meetings, our worries, and our hopes. Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians is one of those letters. This summer, you’re invited to gather with us for an adult Bible study where we’ll listen closely to this ancient voice and discover how it still speaks into the rhythm of our work and the realities of our world today. With the Bible as our primary guide, we’ll explore what Paul meant then, and how his words meet us right where we are now.

    Who: Rev. Eddie Bellis

What: Summer Adult Bible Study – 1 Corinthians: Then and Now

Where: Barr Conference Room, First Presbyterian Church, Franklin, TN

When: Sundays at 9:00 AM (1 hour) May 31-August 9

Why: Because God’s Word still speaks into our work, our relationships, and the world we navigate every day

No need to have all the answers. Please bring your curiosity, your questions, and your coffee if you’d like. Come as you are. There’s a seat for you at the table, and a word waiting just for your heart.

  • Youth Summer SS

The Youth Group will have a combined middle and high school Sunday School class during the summer from May 31st to August 9th (with a one-week holiday off on July 5th). Even on the Sundays when some are off are on a Youth trip, there will still be class! This summer, our study series is called The Classics, and we'll be examining some of the most famous and first-learned Bible stories through an older, more nuanced lens. Stories like Noah's Ark and Jonah may seem idyllic when learned in Children's church, but there is a lot that we can learn from these classic tales when we dig deep!

Join us in room 117/118 at 9 AM on Sundays this summer.

  • Children's Wonder Hour

Children's Summer Sunday School takes place at 9 AM in Room 209 May 31- August 9. We will look at the Wonders of Creation. Topics from insects to trees to mountains.

Email Katie Gottlieb if you are interested in volunteering.

  • Sign up today to donate the worship flowers in honor or memory of someone. The worship flowers remind us of the beauty of God's creation and are then rearranged into smaller vases and delivered to members as a reminder of God's love and the love of their church family.

  • There’s something special about starting your day with good coffee, good company, and the kind of wisdom that sticks with you long after the sun is up. You’re invited to join our Men’s Saturday Morning Bible Study, gathering each week from 7:30–8:30 AM in the church parlor. It’s one hour, and the topics and conversation are simple, meaningful, and well worth the early alarm. As we wind down our study of Psalms, we’re diving intoProverbs through the insightful work of Christine Yoder. Together, we’ll explore how these ancient sayings do more than offer advice. This book of ancient wisdom shapes the way we see the world, guiding us toward what is good, wise, and true. Yoder helps us slow down and listen closely to the poetry, the patterns, and the purpose behind each proverb, inviting us into a lifelong conversation about faithful living.

Whether you’re a longtime student of Scripture or just looking for a place to grow, this is a space for honest discussion, thoughtful reflection, and brotherhood. Come as you are. Bring your questions. And maybe bring a friend. Because wisdom isn’t just something we learn. Wisdom is something we live together.

  • Sisters in Spirit small group meets Fridays in the parlor.

If interested, please contact Martha Johnson.

  • Holy Stitches

Do you enjoy knitting or crocheting? Holy Stitches is the new name for our expanded prayer shawl ministry which now includes scarves and hats for our Mountain T.O.P. mission partner and blankets for new FPC babies. We’re looking for new members—whether you’d like to join our monthly gatherings or contribute items from home.

Learn more by contacting Karen Hanson. Join us the second Monday of each month from 1-2:30 PM in the Church Parlor.
