Children's Ministry

Welcome to the First Presbyterian Church Franklin Children’s Ministry.  Our congregation takes seriously the promises we make at the baptism of a child.  We offer ways to guide and nurture the faith of children to help set them on a life-long journey of being a disciple of Christ.

Welcome

Our primary mission is partnering with parents to guide and nurture children’s faith formation and set them on a life-long journey of being disciples for Christ. Our priority is to provide a safe, secure environment where children can grow in spiritual knowledge and build loving, caring relationships with God and in community with others.

Our ministries are designed for newborns through 5th graders with a variety of opportunities including Sunday School, Children’s Worship, Nursery, and WNL (Wednesday Night Live) Kids Fellowship. Many other events for children and families are offered throughout the year

We invite you to come experience these vibrant ministries for your children and enjoy the connections your family will find to God and to other families at FPC.

"JESUS SAID TO THEM, "LET THE CHILDREN COME TO ME; DO NOT STOP THEM,
FOR IT IS TO SUCH AS THESE THAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD BELONGS."

MARK 10:14

Sunday School

Sundays | 9:00-9:45 AM

Pre-K through 5th graders begin with music time with Mr. Michael (our Director of Music) and then move to their specific age-group classes for a Bible story and age-appropriate activities that connect to the story content.

Nursery

A nursery for infants through Pre-K is available in Room 111 (first floor). We have a dedicated staff of nursery attendants to provide a loving and safe environment.

We encourage children of all ages to participate in worship. If your child is unhappy or needs a break from the worship service, we encourage you to utilize the Narthex where you can continue to worship using the sanctuary audio.

The nursery is available during worship services, Sunday school, and special events. The Hospitality Team members are available if you need assistance.

Children's Worship

Children are welcome to remain in the sanctuary for the entire worship service, and we have a Time with the Young Church during worship each week for all children. At the conclusion of the Time with the Young Church, our fours, fives, and kindergartners have the option of attending Children’s Worship.

Children’s Worship leaders meet the children in the Narthex (space right outside the Sanctuary) and take them to Room 101 in our Children's Wing. Leaders bring them back to the Sanctuary after the sermon where they rejoin their families for the remainder of the service.

Children’s Worship provides a time for our younger children to be more actively engaged as they worship (Bible story, activity, prayer) on their developmental level.
